Dundrod Ferrari Disembarks
Mike Hawthorn’s 3-litre Ferrari disembarks from a KLM plane on its way to the Dundrod Tourist Trophy races in 1954. Hawthorn drove on top form at this TT race and took second place with the fastest lap time of 92.38 mph.
My painting shows the car’s arrival for the race and a glimpse into the associated activities leading up to a race meeting.
The original watercolour measures 11 x 8½ inches – unframed.
The price – £425.00 includes complimentary delivery.
My painting is featured in this book “Mike Hawthorn – Golden Boy” by Tony Bailey & Paul Skilleter which, not only features three of my paintings, but is a wonderful portrayal of Mike Hawthorn’s life along with full details of his motor racing career!
