D-Type Jaguar Prototype

This prototype 2½ litre Jaguar stop-started its way though the 1954 Tourist Trophy race at Dundrod, but drivers Peter Whitehead and Ken Wharton still managed fifth place.
The post war Ulster Tourist Trophy race series took place on a 7½ mile road circuit near Belfast – the ‘Dundrod TT’ ran between 1950 and 1955.
