“Donegal Signal Cabin”
Fondly remembered as the “Wee Donegal” The County Donegal Railway was an extensive three foot narrow gauge railway system serving county Donegal, Ireland from 1906 until 1960. It had a reputation for being run on a shoestring and running a train service in a style all of its own. The striking red and cream livery contrasted beautifully with the green hues of the Donegal landscape and is depicted here by a typical tank locomotive pausing beside a signal cabin.
