Downpatrick Diesel
With rust and faded paint this diesel locomotive had seen better days, but I saw beauty in its muted tones and just had to paint it.
Gentle watercolours gave me just the softness of colours that I wanted to express the glowing light and subtle shades of the scene at Downpatrick’s picturesque steam railway.
I must add that the G-Class diesel shunter locomotive has since been restored by the Downpatrick & County Down Railway, Northern Ireland.
My original railway watercolour painting measures 10 x 14¼ inches.
