I'm excited to be taking part in 'Race for Life' the UK's largest women-only fundraising event to help beat cancer. Last year I raised over £600 for Cancer Research UK and I'd really like to beat that this time. My Mum got the all clear in January and, to celebrate her continuing good health, we are walking together this year at Coombe Abbey on 9th July. By sponsoring me now you could help more people, like my Mum, to survive and have a great life after cancer... and if you're feeling energetic why not join us!
Daisy Gate I've been admiring this pair of gateposts now for about a year, as I cycle past in my efforts to keep fit. I'm pleased to have eventually got around to making a record in paint of how attractive they look with the roadside clump of daisies and morning shadows.

Coco My latest doggy portrait - I just couldn't resist painting her with her owners' lovely irises, which I've painted several times before.

Recent Commission The Rectory at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum

Railway Poster I have designed this poster, commissioned by the Ulster and Connaught Heritage Railways, in the style of railway posters of the Edwardian era. Featuring my own original watercolour scenes depicting the Fintown Railway in County Donegal, the Cavan & Leitrim Railway at Drumod, the Downpatrick & County Down Railway and the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Railway. It will soon be available for purchase.
 Duke
Here is Duke the Great Dane looking proud and majestic. Click on the image to see the real Duke posing beside his painting!
Riley Club Poster The Ulster Riley Club marked the 75th anniversary of the 1932 Ards TT win of Commander CR Whitcroft on Monday 20th August 2007. The celebrations included a lap of the Ards circuit by a selection of Rileys. I designed a poster for the event and A3 prints are available here now! Click to see the original painting.
I have been helping the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland to promote their events with these recent posters. I'm now an associate member of the Guild of Railway Artists.
Sedan Chair Model
Based on an original 18th Century Sedan Chair in the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, this cut-out and build kit produces a model 5⅜ inches / 13.5 cm tall.
Photographer's Studio Backdrop I have just completed painting this 9 foot square scenic backdrop for a 1910 period photography studio at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra, County Down.

Mrs Elsie Wisdom The lady racing driver, better known as "Bill". She was married to motoring journalist and gentleman racer Tommy Wisdom. Triumphant in the Brooklands 1,000-Mile Race of 1932 with Australian driver Joan Richmond, she also competed at the Ards TT in 1936.
My Car
I thought it was about time there was a picture of my Fiat Topolino on the website. It is a 1937 saloon model, which I believe is quite rare, as most of them have a roll back sunroof. It takes part in rallies and auto tests, but isn't at all keen on trials!
