This lady racing driver was better known as "Bill".
She was married to the motoring journalist and gentleman racer Tommy Wisdom.
Her greatest triumph was the Brooklands 1,000-Mile Race of 1932 along with Australian driver Joan Richmond, and she also competed at the 1936 Ards TT.
Painted in oils over a tonal under-painting - my favourite approach to portrait painting!
